I give this book 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the storyline, and really liked Luka’s character. He was sweet, determined, and knew how to go after what he wanted. I loved that he didn’t give up on Michelle, but rather worked harder to convince her he wouldn’t hurt her.
In all honesty, I struggled with Michelle’s character. I understand that she had a rough beginning, and did not have positive relationship role models. But I think her character at times was just downright cruel. I was actually hoping at one point that Luka would just say ok, enough and walk away.
I’m glad she came around and that they were able to find happiness together.

 

 

Sarah O’Rourke is actually TWO besties who live three states apart and write at all hours of the day and night! Born and raised in the Southern United States, they are overly attached to their one-click accounts, can’t make it through the day without copious doses of caffeine, and spend way too much time on the phone with each other.

 

Between them, they have four children and twenty-plus years of marriage…one to a retired super soldier and the other to egomaniac engineer.
